Sullia : Ivory worth Rs 66 lakhs seized ; 1 person arrested

Sullia, May 30, 2013 :   A team of police led by Sullia Circle Inspector Sudarshan who raided a forest area at Narpa in Devachalla village, have arrested one person  and seized ivory worth Rs 66 lakhs. The raid followed a tip off.

The arrested person is  Krishna Prasad of Jalsur. The  police said  as many as five other accused were successful in giving the cops a slip. The seized ivory weighs 13 kg. Police have also  seized a keep, van and two bikes in the raid.
