Sullia : Four arrested for rape of 17 yr old girl

Sullia, Feb 12, 2020: Subrahmanya Police have arrested four persons in connection with the case of  alleged rape of a 17 year old girl.

The incident had come to light after the girl who  had conceived had consumed   some tablets for aborting the pregnancy. Sources said the accused had themselves given the tablets to the victim. But the family came to know about it when she suffered from excessive bleeding.

Subsequently a police complaint was lodged. The victim who was initially reluctant to name the accused later  divulged their names following which Sanketh, Venkatesh, Deekesh and Ashok were arrested. Two other accused namely Chandrashekhar and Durgaprasad are absconding.

The police have booked the accused under POCSO.
