Sullia: Boys wear saffron shawls protest against girls wearing burqa in College

Sullia Aug 31, 2016: Boys of Government College at Peruvaje, Bellare wear saffron shawl around their neck protesting against the girls of other community for wearing burqa. The incident took place on August 31, Tuesday.

 

The students have reportedly said that they would continue wearing the saffron shawls until the principal takes suitable action against the female students wearing burkha.


The action of the students has reminds of sharp criticism on the social media as well as from locals who are of the view that it may lead to communal indifferences among the students in the institution.
