Sudhakar Yermal, Shankari R P bag top honours in wildlife photo contest

Mangalore , Oct 20, 2011 : Sudhakar Yermal, staff photographer of Vijaya Karnataka has won the first prize while Ms Shankari R P won second  place in the wildlife photography competition organized by Dr. Shivaram Karantha Biological Park at Pilikula.

 

An ace photographer based in Mangalore, Yermal has won several awards and is known for his adventurous photography.

His collection of road accident photos motivated the police force to tighten traffic laws and the general public to follow traffic rules.

 

Shankari R P bagged the second(2nd)  place in the competition on the theme “Wildlife” organized by Dr. Shivarama Karantha Biological Park, Pilikula, Mangalore during ‘wildlife week’ celebrations recently. Shankari R P is professional photographer for the last 10 years. She is the wife of senior photojournalist Ravi Posavanike.
