Subrahmanya Sabha, literary, sports meet on May 26, 27

Mangaluru, May 24, 2018: Sri Subrahmanya Sabha, Mangaluru will organise Akhila Bharatha Sthanika Brahmana Sahityotsava and Kreedotsava, on May 26 and 27, respectively.

Addressing a press meet, Sabha President M R Vasudeva said that the literary meet (Sahityotsava) will be organised at Sri Subrahmanya Sabha Sadana in Mangaluru and will be chaired by Critic A Eshwarayya.

Various literary sessions will be held during the meet. A ‘kavi kavya vachana gayana’ will be held at 2 pm and will be chaired by Savithri Manohar.

The participating poets are Jayasri, Pallavi Karanth, B V Rao, Manjula Muralidhar, Jayanthi Vinod Rao, M N Hebbar, Swathi Pramod, Snehalatha Diwakar, Sukanya, Vatsala Yogish, Jnaneshwari Joshi and M R Vasudeva.

During the valedictory, achievers like Gururaj Marpalli, M N Hebbar, Sabitha Srinivas Rao, B V Rao, Savithri Manohar, Bailooru Balachandra Rao and Parameshwari Lokeshwara will be felicitated.

The Sabha artistes will present Talamaddale after the valedictory of the programme.

The sports (Kreedotsava) meet will be held at Canara High School, Urwa, and at U S Mallya Indoor Stadium. The events for the sports meet are shuttle badminton, table tennis, tug of war, volleyball and throw ball. Participants can register.
