Subhaschandra Puranik promoted as General Manager of Karnataka Bank

Mangaluru, Aug 04: Shri Subhaschandra Puranik, is a Master of Commerce, Master in Business Administration, and a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB).

 

Having started his career in the Bank in 1981, he has to his credit a rich banking experience of 34 years in various capacities and at various locations across the country, both at operational and administrative levels. Shri Puranik was elevated to the cadre of Chief Manager in 1999.

In May 2005, he was elevated to the position of Assistant General Manager and headed the Bank’s International Division at Mumbai and Mysuru Region.

He was promoted as Deputy General Manager in March 2011, and headed the Bank’s New Delhi and Mumbai Regions besides Central Processing Centre at Mangaluru. Prior to his promotion as General Manager, he was Head of the Marketing Support Group & Credit Department [Retail & MSME] at the Bank’s Head Office in Mangaluru. During his tenure of service in operations, he was nominated as member of chairman/MD’s Club on four occasions.

Shri Puranik, hails from Uppunda of Udupi District in Karnataka State. He did his early studies at Govt. High School, Uppunda and graduated from Sri Poornaprajna College, Udupi before pursuing his post graduate studies in commerce and Business Administration.

Shri Puranik will now assume charge as General Manager, Credit Monitoring Department at Bank’s Head Office.
