Students exhorted to evince interest in research

Mangaluru,Feb 05, 2017  :  Development of interest in research during student days itself goes a long way in achieving excellence both in academics and professional life, said Dr H Vinod Bhat, Vice Chancellor of Manipal University.

 

vinod 5 feb 17He was speaking as a chief guest at the inaugural of the Student Conference of Research in Education organised at the Dr TMA Pai International Convention Centre in the city on February 4, Saturday under the aegis of the Student Research  Forum of the  Manipal College of Dental Sciences.


Research has a wide base, he said adding researches in the dental medicine field have brought  vital transformation in dental treatment . The Conference aims at  encouraging students in the research field, he added.


Dr V Surendra Shetty, Pro Vice Chancellor  said  lack of time and  finance should never come in the way of research. Manipal University is laying more emphasis on research and is extending necessary help to students,  he added.


Dr N Udupa, Research Department Director, Dr Dilip G Naik, Dean  of  Manipal Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru and others were present.
