Gopal Krishna, litterateur, Bangalore said in his inaugural speech that we memorize the great literature Kumaravyasa’s contribution to Kannada sahithya, whenever we open up a discussion pertaining to Kannada literature.

While talking about past literary progarammes, he said that, earlier there was a culture of reading and explaining of literary works done by the great literatures in front of people. But that cult is vanished and people are not following that now. He urged students to concentrate on reading 5 literary pieces written by great authors every day, instead of wasting their precious time in watching television.

He suggested the people to spend atleast Rs 10000 to purchase some important books and make their own library in their house.

Dr K Chinnappa Gowda, registrar, Mangalore University and Dr K Devraj, Principal, SDM College of Business Management were the chief guest.
