Student dies, lecturer injured as scooter rams against electric pole

Kasargod, Oct 13, 2017 : A 16 year old boy who was pillion riding a scooter  was killed  when the two-wheeler rammed against an electric pole after the rider lost control over the vehicle  at Melparamba Olavangara on October 13, Friday.

The deceased is Mansooq, a PUC student while the scooterist Abdul Noorani who is injured in the mishap is a lecturer.

Both were on way to the college after Mansooq, a resident of Taliparamba arrived by  train to Kasargod on Friday morning.

It has been gathered that the scooter rammed against the electric pole when Noorani tried to avert   collision with a tempo which was over speeding.

Bekal Police have registered a case.
