Mangaluru, April 28, 2016 : District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak has accused the state government of failure to tackle the drought situation in the state. He attributed the ’anti-environment’ attitude of the state government to the water crisis that has hit the district.
Speaking to reporters at the District BJP Office on April 28, Thursday, he assured that the BJP which is ruling the DK ZP would strive its level best to fulfill the promises made to the electorate.
Referring to the results of the elections to Town Panchayats in Vittal and, Kotekar, he said it reveals the disgruntlement of the people towards the ruling Congress government in the state and added that the results hinted at the possible outcome of the next Assembly elections.
Referring to the water crisis, he said Rain Water Harvesting should be made mandatory in community housing and in new houses.
