State conference of Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sangha inaugurated

Mangalore, May 2: President of Pandalam Palace Committee Vishakam Thirunal Ramavarma Raja inaugurated the state conference of Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sangha at Town Hall on May 2, Sunday. In his inaugural speech, he said that the Ayyappa Seva Sangham was established by two enterprising people to be of service to the devotees of Ayyappa.

Speaking of the dangers faced by the devotees of Ayyappa, he said that many of them die on the way to Shabarimala because of ill health, heart attack, or stampede. The Ayyappa Seva Sangha has worked hard to provide clean drinking water facilities and sanitary facilities to the pilgrims. The Sangha also attempts to educate devotees on matters related to the vratham.

VIPs and celebrities arrive at Shabarimale without following any rules and rituals, which is wrong, he said. The Sangha tries to educate such people about the rules they must follow during the 48-day vratham.

President of Pandalma Palace Committee and Former Member of Parliament Vishakam Thirunal Ramavarma Raja and President of Akhila Bharatha Ayyappa Seva Sangham G Balakrishna Pillai were felicitated on the occasion.

PKK Panicker, the CWC member of secretary-state council of Karnataka, made the welcome speech. Chairman of Karnataka State Human Rights Commission Justice S R Nayak was the chief guest on the occasion. Chairman of the Programme Committee of ABASS Ajith Kumar Rai Maladi gave the introductory speech.
