State Highway Fund sanctions Rs 200 cr to DK, Udupi

Belthangady, Nov 12,2016 : DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai has informed that a sum of Rs 200 crore  has been sanctioned from the State Highway Development Fund  for various works in DK and Udupi districts. Every assembly constituency will get  Rs 28 crores each, the Minister said.

He was presiding  over a meeting   arranged at the Sannidhi guest house at Dharmasthala to review arrangements for the Laksha Deepotsava to be held from November 24 to 29.

Dharmadhikari Dr. D Veerendra Heggade who also spoke, described Laksha Deepotsava as  one of the biggest  festivals which also plays an important role in creating awareness among the people on  religion, literature, art and culture.

ZP Chief Meenakshi Shantigodu,  ZP Vice President Kasturi Panja, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kumar, Rural Development Project Executive Director Dr L H Manjunath and others were present .
