Mangaluru June 2, 2016: Members of the Karnataka State Employees Association have boycotted work and have gone on mass leave on June 2, Thursday in protest against the failure of the government to fulfill the long pending demands including implementation of the seventh pay commission recommendation.
Speaking to the media persons, District President of Karnataka State Employees Association Prakash Naik said that the disparity in the salaries of Central and State government employees has saddened the latter. "Newly appointed employees quit the job due to heavy work load. Karnataka government has not taken any decision in implementing pay scales on par with central government employees," he added.
