He was giving his blessings at the inaugural of the St Philip Neri Central School (CBSE) at Basrur on June 2, Tuesday.
Good thoughts and confidence are crucial for success in life, he said adding there are plans to set up CBSC Schools in all five zones of Udupi Diocese.
Speaking as a chief guest, Udupi District in-charge Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake said Udupi district has attracted the attention of the entire state by standing first in SSLC, second in PUC and CET results. He also lauded the contribution of Christian institutions towards the education field.
The new school was earlier inaugurated by Philip D’Costa Koni, Proprietor of St Antony Constructions. Rev Lawrence C D’Souza, Secretary of Udupi Diocese Education Board released the school logo while Rev Anil D’Souza, Parish priest inaugurated the school bus facility.

Sr Cristila, Secretary of Bethany Educational Institutions of Mangaluru Diocese, Prakash T Mendon, Udupi ZP Vice President, Bhasker Billawa, Kundapur Taluk Panchayat President, Shobha Shetty, Kundapur Block Education Officer, Sr Jyothika, Principal, Fr Vishal Lobo, Parish Priest of St Philip Neri Church were also present.
