Srinivas Nayak Indaje elected Journalists’ Union President

Mangaluru, August 5, 2018: Srinivas Nayak Indaje has been elected as the new president of Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union. He scored 115 votes in a direct contest against Guruvappa Balepuni who got 97 votes.

During the election, which was held at the office of the District Information Officer, Ansar Innoli and Sharath Shetty Kinnigoli were also elected as Vice Presidents from among four candidates.

Srinivas Nayak Indaje is a veteran TV journalist and was earlier the local correspondent of erstwhile channel UdayaTV News. He has been actively involved with Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union for the last two decades and had served as its office bearer in various capacities. He had been honoured with the ‘Outstanding Journalist Award’ by the Mangalore Chapter of Junior Chamber International (JCI), during the Jaycee Week Celebration in 2010.
