Sri Venkatramana Temple Sharadotsava ends on a colourful note

Mangalore, Oct 16, 2013  :The colourful Shobhayatra carrying the idol of Goddess Sharada installed at the Acharya Mutt premises of Sri Venkatramana Temple,  Carstreet,  on October 15, Tuesday night marked the  end of the 91st Sarvajanika Sri Sharada Mahotsava at the Temple.

 Earlier in the evening, the idol of Goddess Sharada was bedecked with jasmine and  was seated in front of a specially decorated  Prabhavali.The procession  also featuring several tableaux including Huli Veshadharis passed through Sri Mahamaya Temple,  Navabharath Circle, Dongerkeri,  Lower Carstreet and concluded at the  Mahamaya Lake area with the immersion of the idol in the lake.

Thousands of people had gathered on either sides of the road to witness the  procession.

Sharadotsava Samithi President Dr Umananda Mallya, Secretary Adige Balakrishna Shenoy and others were present.
