Sri Rama Sene takes out Save Cow Rally in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Dec 15, 2014: A Save Cow rally aimed at protecting cows from slaughter was held in the city on December 15, Monday under the aegis of the Sri Rama Sene. The rally named Nannannu Ulisi (Save Me) which began at Ambedkar Circle concluded near the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

Addressing the  participants,, Sri Rama Sene Southern unit President Mahesh Koppa urged the government to protect cattle and ban cow slaughter. He also demanded stringent measures to check cattle trafficking.


Shailesh Holla of Kamadhenu Trust, Bengaluru, while pointing out that cattle rearing has reduced significantly in India, emphasised the need to protect the cattle.


Sri Rama Sene leaders Anand Shetty Adyar, Savitha Ranganath, Praveen Valke and others spoke on the occasion.


The participants also pledged to protect cattle on the occasion. A memorandum was also submitted to the DC by Sri Rama Sene members and a few Naga Sadhus.
