Speeding car rams into autorickshaw ferrying school children; 7 injured

Udupi, Mar 15, 2019: As many as seven students sustained injuries when a car collided against an  autorickshaw which was ferrying school children on the NH 66 service road at Santhekatte on March 15, Friday morning.

 

 It has been learnt that the driver of the Maruti Ritz car hit the autorickshaw in his haste to overtake. The car was proceeding towards  Udupi from Santhekatte.

 The injured children are  students of two English medium schools of Kalianpur. They have been admitted to Manipal Hospital.

Even the autorickshaw driver John was injured in the mishap. The front portion of the vehicle has been badly mangled.
