Special school student to take part in Spl Olympics

Mangaluru, July 15, 2015: According to reports; Agnes Special School student Mohammed Fardeen will play football for India in the coming International Special Olympics which will be held at Los Angeles from July 25 to August 2. He is the only person from Karnataka representing India in the football.


Special school student to take part in Spl OlympicsThe Principal Sr Maria Shruthi A C said that Mohammed Fardeen, son of C A Farooq- Wahida couple is a gifted player trained with many coaching clinics of the country and physical director of the school Narayan.


A total number of 198 special children and 60 coaches from India,  with14 children and three coaches from Karnataka would leave for Los Angeles on July 20.


Mohammed Fardeen, a 15-year-old boy, suffering with learning disability (MR) is studying in the special school from past two years. He would complete Class 10 next year excluding mathematics and one language paper.


Earlier, Hasan Asif (Dublin Ireland), Dhanraj (Shangai in China), Anil and Royston (Athens, Greece) and Danon and Thazman (New Castle, Australia) of St Agnes Special School had participated in the International Special Olympics.
