Special meet of corporators planned to discuss proposed Vishwa Tuluvere Parba

Mangalore, Oct 02, 2014:  Mangalore Mayor Mahabala Maarla has said that the City Corporation would be convening a special meeting of corporators to discuss the arrangements to be made for the successful conduct of the Vishwa Tuluvere Parba 2014 scheduled to be held from December 12 to 14 at the Sahyadri College premises, Adyar under the guidance of Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. D Veerendra Heggade and under the presidentship of DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai.

 

The Mayor has also promised all possible co-operation for the event.

The Mayor thus responded positively to the appeal of the Vishwa Tuluvere Parba Committee office bearers who met him recently.

The event has been organised as part of the silver jubilee of Akhila Bharatha Tulu Okkoota and will be held with the co-operation of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy.

A.C. Bhandari, Founder Member of Tulu Koota said the event aims at highlighting the history, culture, literature,  folk art, sports and traditional occupation of Tuluvas and  would also strive for the
overall development of Tulunad.

Kavitha, Deputy Mayor, Gokuldas Nayak, Joint Commissioner, Damodar Nisarga, President of Tulu Koota,  Chandrashekhar Suvarna, former officer of the Department of Co-operation  P. A Poojary, DM Kulal, Tulu Sahitya academy Member, Bhasker Moily, Ashok DK, AC Vinayraj, Corporators and others were present on the occasion.
