Southern Railway to run special trains during summer holidays

Mangaluru, Mar 9,2017 : The Southern Railway will run the following special trains to clear extra rush of passengers during summer holidays 2017, informs a press communique from  M. K. Gopinath, Public Relations Officer, Southern Railway, Palakkad Division.

1.Weekly Air conditioned Special Train between Tirunelveli and Pune  (Via Pollachi,

Palakkad Junction, Mangaluru Junction and Madgaon)

Train No.  01321, will start from Pune at 16.15 hrs on Sundays starting from  2nd April to  4th  June 2017 to reach Tirunelveli at 04.00 hrs on following Tuesdays.

In the return direction, Train No. 01322 will start at 07.20 hrs on Tuesdays starting from  4th April to  6th June 2017 to reach Pune at 20.40 hrs on following Wednesdays.

 With a composition of Thirteen 3 AC, LHB coaches, the train will have stoppages at Kovilpatti, Satur, Virudunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Palani, Udumalapettai, Pollachi, Palakkad Junction, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Thalasseri, Kannur, Kasaragod, Mangaluru Junction,  Suratkal, Mulki, Udupi, Kundapura, Mookambika road, , Bhatkal, Kumta, Karwar, Madgaon, Thivim, Kudal, Kankavali, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Khed, Roha, Panvel Kalayan and Lonawala stations.

2. Weekly Air conditioned  special train between Pune and Ernakulam (Via Shoranur  Junction, Mangaluru Junction and Madgoan) Train No.  01323, will start from Pune at 16.15 hrs on Thursdays starting from  6th  April to  8th  June 2017 to reach Ernakulam Junction at  20.15 hrs the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 01324 will start at 23.30 hrs on Fridays starting from  7th April to  9th June 2017 to reach Ernakulam Junction at  2.45 hrs on following Sundays.

 With a composition of Thirteen 3AC, LHB coaches, the train will have stoppages at Aluva Thrissur, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikkode, Thalasseri, Kannur, Kasaragod, Mangaluru Jn,  Suratkal, Mulki, Udupi, Kundapura, Mookambika road,  Bhatkal, Kumta, Karwar, Madgaon, Thivim, Kudal, Kankavali, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Khed, Roha, Panvel Kalyan and Lonawala stations.
