Slain Deepak Rao’s mother has Rs 40 lakh in her account, but nothing in hand

Mangaluru, Jan 19, 2018 : Slain Bajrang Dal member Deepak Rao’s mother, Premalatha, has a bank balance of Rs 40 lakh. She is unable to withdraw the money as she does not have a PAN card. 

 

 

However, the BJP members had launched a social media campaign to raise funds for his family which depended on Deepaks’s earnings . In less than a week, the campaign brought in Rs 40 lakh.

Premalatha’s account had never seen a balance of more than Rs 40,000 before. She doesn’t have a PAN card. Therefore,she cannot make any transaction in the nationalised bank as per law. PAN cards and other government documents takes a minimum of a fortnight and a maximum of a month to obtain a PAN card after submitting the application. Her debit card may have been blocked as after three consecutive wrong entries, the card gets blocked automatically.

According to Premalatha now this is new expierrince to her after son’s death and she was unaware of all these things so far.
