Sick man from Hassan dies in accident on highway

Uppinangady, June 21, 2016: The Puttur Traffic Police said that  a man from Hassan died after the car he was travelling in was hit by an LPG tanker at Irtadka village, near Uppinangady, on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway on june 20, Monday.

 Jayadeva H.G. (58) of Anemahal village, Sakleshpur taluk, his wife Sudha and daughter Anvita, were on their way to Mangaluru for his medical treatment.

Around 8 a.m., the LPG tanker bound for Bengaluru, collided with the car. Jayadeva died on the spot. Sudha and Anvita were admitted to a hospital.
