Shyamaprasad Shastri suicide case probe : RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat summoned by CID

Mangaluru, Nov 3, 2014 :In a fresh development, the CID which is investigating into the suspected case of suicide of  Shyamaprasad Shastri (55) of Puttur, has summoned senior RSS leader Dr Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat  to elicit some information about the case.

 

It may be recalled here that Shyamaprasad had allegedly shot himself  with a country gun at his residence on August 1 and had later breathed his last at a private hospital in Mangaluru. The death note left behind by him had said he  was receiving threatening calls from the Ramachandrapur Mutt after his brother  Diwaker Shastri and sister-in-law Premalatha Shastri filed sexual harassment case against the Mutt’s seer.

 Sources said the CID has summoned Dr Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat after gathering information that the deceased Shyamaprasad had telephoned him  before he allegedly ended his life. The CID investigation team had earlier recorded the statements of Shyamprasad Shastri’s  family members including his wife and son at their house in Badekkila of Kedila village.
