Shop owner held under Pocso Act

Mangaluru, July 16, 2019: Police on July 15, Monday arrested a man under  POCSO Act for showing pornographic video clipping and sexually harassing a minor girl.

 

The accused was identified as Saleem Zakaria (42), owner of Mudipu Fancy Palace.

The minor girl had visited the shop, owned by the accused, in order to exchange a bag she had purchased. When she visited the shop to exchange the bag, the accused allegedly showed a video clipping and sexually harassed her.

The girl,  filed a complaint to Konaje Police Station. As per the complaint filed by the victim, Konaje police have arrested accused under sections of Pocso Act.
