Shobha says she will strive to bring New Mangalore Port under Konkan Railway

Kundapur, Sep 27,2015 : Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje who has opined that that Konkan Railway Corporation which was presently suffering huge losses can earn profit only when the New Mangalore Port  was brought under it.

Speaking to reporters  during her visit to Kundapur, the MP said she would strive her best to  bring the New Mangalore Port under Konkan Railway. She also stated that the Konkan Railway Corporation was presently incurring Rs 3000 crore losses and added that the government has also not approved development of stations.

Shobha who visited the Moodlakatte Railway station held talks with the Railway Welfare Committee office bearers as well as Railway officials. She also looked into the several complaints pertaining to the station. She also assured solution to all the problems at the earliest.

Locals who otherwise noticed weeds outside the station, found it clean on Saturday during the MP’s visit and questioned why the station premises was cleaned up only if some dignitary was visiting the place.
