Shiroor seer says he will contest as independent from Udupi

Udupi, Mar 10, 2018:  Shiroor seer Sri Lakshmivara Theertha Swamiji has said that he would contest the upcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Udupi.

 

 

The seer informed this at a press meet at Shiroor Moola Mutt near Hiriadka on March 10, Saturday. The seer said though the BJP was pro-people he was not happy with the party in  Udupi and so decided to contest as an independent.

At the same time he said he would contest from the BJP if the party gave him a ticket.

The seer praised the style of functioning of  sitting Udupi MLA and District in-charge Minister Pramod Madhwaraj  and added that  his candidature would help Madhwaraj.
