Shiroor : Serial road mishap claims 1 life; 2 critical

Kundapur, Feb 12, 2014 : A  tragic road accident involving several vehicles which occurred near the Shiroor bus stand on February 11, Tuesday evening, resulted in the death of a bike rider. Two others sustained serious injuries in the mishap.

 

 According to eyewitnesses, a 108 ambulance which was heading towards Bhatkal from Kundapur on the NH 66, in a bid to avoid collision with an oncoming vehicle, hit against a bike and then crashed into two autorickshaws parked on the road side. The bike rider Chanda Gonda (26) died on the spot while the pillion rider Nagaraj Gonda and Mohammad Guas who was in the  autorickshaw  sustained critical injuries.

The injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Manipal. Byndoor police are investigating the case.
