Shimoga: Teenager slips off foot-bridge, drowns

Shimoga, Jul 10, 2018 : In a tragic incident, a teenager drowns after she accidentally slips of a foot-bridge at Dudlimane  near Thirthahalli on July 10, Tuesday.

 

 

The deceased is identified as Ashika (15), daughter of Anitha and  Yogendra Gowda couple of Dudlimane. She was a student of standard ninth.

Sources said that Ashika along with her mother had been to ration shop as the school was off due to forecast of heavy rains . On thier way back home Ashika slips off the  bridge and falls into the river which was flooded with the rain water.  The locals on hearing Anitha’s cry rushed to rescue Ashika . They could not trace her,effort was in vain.
