Sharan Rao wins Under-13 State Chess Championship

Mangalore, June 24, 2013 : Sharan Rao of Derik’s Chess School, Mangalore, has won the Karnataka State Under 13 Chess Championship organized by ICA on behalf of UKCA at Red Bridge International School, Bangalore from June 18 to 20. Sharan Rao scored unbeaten 8 points in 9 rounds with 7 wins and two draws.

With this performance, he is selected to represent Karnataka in the National Under 13 Chess Championship to be held at Pondicherry from June 29  to July 8.
