Shakthi, a national Bunt women’s convention on Aug.24

Mangalore, Aug 22, 2014: Addressing a press conference,  under the aegis of Shri Siddivinayaka Prathistana and Ganeshotsava Samithi, Shakthi, a national Bunt women’s convention will be organised at Bunts Hostel premises in Mangalore, on August 24, from 10.30 am, said Convention President Dr Ashajyothi Rai.

 

 

She said that convention will discuss various relevant issues like curtailing atrocities against women, strengthening women community, condemning rape incidents and training self-defence mechanism for women, legal awareness, precautionary measures needed to be taken while using social media and tips to achieve financial self-sufficiency.

Resource persons from various parts of the state and country would participate, she said. Apart from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasaragod districts, Bunt women would come from Shimoga, Chikmagalur, Mysore and Davangere.
