Sexual abuse of minor : Youth gets 5 yrs jail

Udupi, Apr 14, 2018  : The Udupi District Special POCSO Court has  sentenced one Satish Naika (26) of Belve village to five years of imprisonment  and imposed a penalty of Rs 10,000 on him  in a case of sexual abuse of a minor girl four years ago in Shankernarayana police station limits.

 

The incident had taken place  on January 6, 2014 when Satish had taken the  9 year old girl who was on way home from school, to his house where he blindfolded and gagged her  and then sexually abused her.

The accused was arrested after a complaint was lodged. A total of 12 witnesses were heard in the case.
