Several left stranded as Kumaradhara bridge submerges

Subrahmanya, Aug 05, 2014:  The Kumaradhara Bridge  near Subrahmanya submerged  all of a sudden on August 4, Monday  evening at around 3.30 am following heavy  rains. This disrupted traffic on either sides of the road.

 

Particularly as it was the school leaving time, several students remained stranded and were unable to return home on time. Heavy rains continued in Subrahmanya and nearby areas. However, there is no report of any casualty.
