Senior journalist Shashidhar Hemmanna passes away

Udupi, Nov 10, 2023: Senior journalist Shashidhar Hemmanna passed away  due to heart attack on November 9, Thursday. He was 57 years old.

On Thursday morning, he suffered from chest pain at home and was later rushed to Manipal hospital where he passed away in the night.

 

He started his career at Kundaprabha in 1991 and later started his own weekly named “Kshitija” and was its chief editor. He had also worked as a reporter for ETV and DD News and had contributed agriculture related articles for Prajavani and other dailies.

Recently he had started Connect Media and had planned projects across the state. He was also a nature lover.

Shashidhar has left behind his parents, wife, son and several admirers.
