Selfie craze proves fatal ; 2 youngsters slip to death in Alekan Waterfalls

 Chikkamagaluru, July 19, 2016 :  The selfie craze among youngsters has  already proved fatal on many earlier occasions. In  yet an addition to this, two youngsters lost their lives  when they slipped and fell into the Alekan water falls in Charmady Ghat while trying to take a selfie on July 18, Monday.

The deceased are   Hanumanthappa (34) and Nagabhushan (38) from Chitradurga district. The two along with three others namely Honnesh, Nagesh and Basavaraj  had been to  the waterfalls after visiting Subrahmanya, Dharmasthala and other places.

A youth from Moodigere had lost his life at the same spot a few months ago in a similar incident, while another youth was injured in an  incident reported two months ago.
