Second PU exams from today in DK, Udupi

Mangaluru, Mar 01, 2018: Around 38,630 students are eligible to appear for the II PU examination in Dakshina Kannada from March 1, today, Thursday.  Of them, 19,566 are boys and 19,066 are girls. There will be 54 examination centres.

All arrangements have been made at 27 centres for the Second Year Pre-University Course exams in Udupi district from today.

According to Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Director of Pre-University Education, a total of 16,074 students were eligible to write the exams in the district. As many as eight teams had been formed to distribute the question papers.

The exams would be held from 10.15 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. The college principal would be the chief superintendent of every centre. The lecturers from other educational institutions would be associate chief superintendents in the centre. Two lecturers from other districts would constitute members of special vigilance squad for every centre.

There would be surprise visits by a squad headed by the Deputy Director of PU Education at the district level, while at taluk-level, the senior principals and senior lecturers of colleges from districts would constitute the vigilance squads.

Prohibitory orders would be in force in a radius of 200 metres of every exam centre during this period. The question papers would be kept securely in the District Treasury, where CCTV cameras, bio metric machines, bar coding readers had been installed, besides other security measures.
