Scribe assaulted during verbal clash among BJP workers at Manjeshwar

Kasargod Sep 30 2019 : A journalist was reportedly assaulted and his camera damaged  while he was videographing an incident wherein BJP workers of Manjeshwar was taking a party leader to task.

It may be mentioned here that the BJP choosing Ravish Tantri Kuntar as its candidate for Manjeshwar bye-polls has left local party activists fuming.

It has been gathered that a  group of party workers even took the party organising secretary L Ganesh to task over this matter during an election meeting at Hosangady.

Meanwhile, an Asianet journalist who had been there to cover the event was reportedly assaulted. The incident is learnt to have occurred when the journalist was videographing the happenings through a window.

The  Manjeshwar Press Club and Kasargod District Committee of Journalists’ Association have condemned the assault.
