Mangaluru, Nov 02 2019: It was heart warming and exemplary to note that schools and institutions rose to the occasion and celebrated in special attentive ways 64th Kannada Rajyothsava on November 1, Friday all over the city and surroundings.
At Theresa’s school at Bendur in the School Auditorium, the programme began with the lighting of the diya by the chief guest Ms Surekha, a long time teacher, Principal, Vice Principal and the senior staff. The chief guest was welcomed by a floral bouquet. The students were enlightened of the significance of the day. The audience were mesmerized by a semi classical dance by the students.
An educational dance drama form, kept the students interested and enthralled by the performance. The melodious voices of the children hailed the beauty of our state Karnataka. The boys showcased the amazing facts of our state through a patriotic dance.
The chief guest Ms Surekha highlighted the day’s importance. She exhorted the audience to keep alive the spirit of our state language; and stressed that it is important to appreciate, love and respect for languages and culture and keep the flame of kannada burning brightly.
