Save Beach Campaign on Sept 1

  Mangalore, Aug 23, 2013 : A Save Beach Campaign will be launched on September 1   by the Matha Amritanandamayi Seva Samithi of Mangalore in association with the Mangalore City Corporation on account of the 60th birthday celebrations of Matha Amritanandamayi.

Informing this to reporters on August 23, Friday, Vaman Kamath, President of the Samithi said as part of the campaign volunteers will clean up the beach surroundings which remained littered all through the monsoons.

He said the campaign will begin at 7 am  and  will be held at Someshwara, Bengre,Tannirbavi, Panambur, Chitrapur, Hosabettu and Suratkal beaches. Various organizations including Lions Club, Rotary Club, KCCI and other organizations have joined hands in this cause.

MCC Commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde, Yatish Baikampady, CEO of Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project, Dr Sanath Hegde and others were present.
