Satish Kumar Kudroli clinches silver at Asian Bench Press Championship

Mangaluru, Oct 23, 2016: Satish Kumar Kudroli of Mangaluru has won the silver in the Asian Bench Press Championship held at Tashkent Uzbekistan  from October 14 to 20 and Vincent Carlo also from the city has  earned seventh place in the event. Both of them  received a warm reception at the Mangaluru Central Railway Station where they arrived  by  a train from Bengaluru on October 23, Sunday morning.

Both are  employees of State Excise Department and members of Balanjaneya Gym in the city. Nearly 30 weight lifters from India had taken part in the event. Satish bagged silver in the 120 class category.

JR Lobo, MLA of Mangaluru South, family members, friends and well-wishers of the two power lifters were present at the railway station to welcome them.
