Sapna Shenoy installed as President of Mangalore Toastmasters Club

Mangaluru, July 13: Sapna Shenoy was installed as the new President of Mangalore Toastmasters Club for the year 2018-19 during the Installation Ceremony of the office bearers of the Club held on Wednesday, July 4, at Hotel BMS, Mangaluru. Mangalore Toastmasters Club is one of the veteran Toastmasters clubs of the city and is now stepping in to its 16th year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ananth G Pai, the Director of Bharath Groups, Mangaluru was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he observed: “Excellent communication is the key to success. Mangalore Toastmasters Club is the right platform to hone these skills.”

Sujatha Kotian, the Area Director of the regional Toastmasters organization administered the oath of office to the new office bearers led by Sapna Shenoy. The team consists of Gayathri B J (Secretary), Dr. Sapna Ramaraj (Treasurer), Sindhu Prabhu (Vice President- Public Relations), Shyamprasad Hebbar (Vice President-Membership), Yvonil D’Souza (Vice President-Education) and Kavitha Kamath (Sergeant at Arms).

The programme began with the rendition of a prayer song by Chandrashekhar Palekar. Immediate Past President Shariq Ali welcomed the gathering. The newsletter “DREAMS” was unveiled by Sukanya Rao, the Chief Editor and Dr C K Ballal. The report of the year was presented by Sindhu Prabhu. Anitha Cordero conferred the best “Toastmaster of the Year” award, which was shared by Mareena Seema Sequeira and Yvonil D’Souza.

Sapna Shenoy, the incoming president sought the cooperation of all the members to fulfill 15 special goals of the club. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Gayathri.
