Samskrita Sammelanam’ Commences Feb.14

Mangaluru, Feb 14, 2015: Bharatiya Vidyabhavana Mangaluru Branch, Mangaluru Samskrita Sanga and Samskrita Bharathi is organising Mangaluru-level ’Samskrita Sammelanam’, a conference on Sanskrit language at Srinivasa Kalyanamantap, Vittoba Temple Road here on February 14 from 3 pm.


Samskrita Sammelana 2Briefing media, Samskrita Bharathi All India Working Committee Member Satyanarayana Bhat said the event would begin with cultural extravaganza by students of different schools and colleges. At 4 pm, ’Parisamvada’ will be held on the need of Sanskrit. Kannada Professor Dr Ajakkala Girish Bhat, Gynaecologist Dr Veena Bhagavaan, DySP Dr Venkatesh Prasanna, Consumer Court President Asha Shetty will participate in the discussion.


Karnataka Bank Chief General Manager M S Mahabaleshwara will release ’Sankshepapanchatantram’ by Dr Vishwas. Bharatiya Vidhyabhavana Director Prof Nagaveni S Shetty will release ’Bhagavan Parashurama’ by Dr Shanthala. Satyanarayana Bhat said Samskrita Bharathi is teaching the language for those who are interested in all states of India and also in 21 nations.

In past 32 years, it has conducted around 1, 32,000 camps and taught around one crore people. This year, the forum has organised district Sanskrit conferences in 508 districts of the nation, including nine of Karnataka. Sanskrit can be learned through post also. In past 30 years, around two lakh people have learned the language through post, he said.
