Samithi demands land, jobs to Hindus affected in Uttarakhand floods

Mangalore, Jul 7, 2013: The Hindu Jana Jagrithi Samithi staged a protest  in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Mangalore on July 7, Sunday demanding  land and employment to Hindus who have lost their  properties and livelihood in the deluge that recently devastated Uttarakhand.

Prasanna Kamath, Convenor of the Samithi who addressed the protestors, took  strong exception to the Prime Minister’s statement that  restrictions will be imposed on Hindu pilgrim centres to avert such incidents in the future. He said any such restriction would be nothing but injustice  to the religious majority community.


The Samithi also protested against the movie “Bhag Milkha Bhag’ on the grounds that some parts of the film were objectionable.
