Bantwal, Jan 25, 2017 : The Supreme Court has upheld the judgement of Karnataka High Court and has dismissed the appeals filed by three suspects in the case of Sajipa Mohammad Nasir murder case and case of attempt on life of Sajipa Mohammad Mustafa.
Mohammad Nasir who was a mason was hacked to death by a gang of four when he was travelling in the autorickshaw of Mustafa at Panolibail near Melkar on September 7,2015. Even Mustafa was attacked with lethal weapons by the accused.
Police had arrested three persons namely Kiran Poojary of Badaga Ulepady, Vijeth Kumar of Manchi and Anil alias Dhanu Poojary of Tiruvailu in this case. The fourth accused Abhi alias Abhijith of Manchi is however still at large.
When the District Court had granted bail to all the three arrested, the family of Nasir had moved the High Court challenging the decision. The High Court had cancelled the bail and had directed the accused to surrender before January 16.
Though the accused had moved the Supreme Court against the HC ruling, the Supreme Court has dismissed their plea and has upheld the High Court decision.
