Sabarimala special trains - Southern Railway

Mangaluru, Nov 13, 2014:  According to a railway press release, in order to clear the rush expected during the ensuring Sabarimala season, Southern Railway will operate special trains from November 21. From Mangalore special train information will be available prior to the special trains being yet to be finalised.

Premium superfast special trains will run between Bangalore Cantonment - Thiruvananthapuram via Coimbatore. Train No.02657 Bangalore Cantonment - Thiruvananthapuram premium superfast special train will leave Bangalore Cantonment at 7.15pm. on November 21 and 28 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 8.30am the next day. Train No.02658 Thiruvananthapuram - Bangalore Cantonment premium superfast special train will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 6.45pm on November 23 and 30 and reach Bangalore Cantonment at 8.10am the next day. Advance reservations for Train No.02658 Thiruvananthapuram - Bangalore Cantonment premium superfast special train on November 23 will commence on November 13 and for the train on November 30 reservations will commence on November 15.

Special trains will be run between Kacheguda - Kollam via Salem, Erode, Tirupur and Coimbatore. Train No.07115 Kacheguda - Kollam special train will leave Kacheguda at 10.35am on November 23, 27 and reach Kollam at 5.40pm next day. Train No.07116 Kollam - Kacheguda special train will leave Kollam at 9.45pm on November 24, 28 and reach Kacheguda at 2.35am on the third day. The trains will stop at Sitafalmandi, Malkajgiri, Nalgonda, Mirayalguda, Piduguralla, Satanapalli, Guntur, Tenali, Nidubrolu, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Kavali, Nellore, Gudur, Sri Kalahasti, Renigunta, Tirupati, Chittoor, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, salem, erode, tiruppur, coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam. Advance reservations for Train No.07116 Kollam - Kacheguda special trains will commence on November 14.

Many trains are to be run from different destinations and will be announced in a time bound pattern.
