Saanidhya pleads CM to check sexual assaults on minors

Mangalore, July 24, 2014:   A delegation from Saanidhya Special School in Mangalore, led by its students, teachers and management met Deputy Commissioner A.B. Ibrahim at his office here on July 24, Thursday and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through him, strongly condemning the recent sexual assault case on a mentally challenged girl in Kolar.

Vasanth Kumar Shetty, Director of Saanidhya was present among others.   Shetty demanded that offenders in cases of sexual crimes must be immediately arrested and brought to justice. He also expressed his grave concern over the rising cases of sexual abuse  on children. Effective laws must be framed to curb such incidents, he demanded.
