SSLC results today, Apr 30; CET in DK and Udupi

Mangaluru, Apr 30, 2019: Results of the SSLC examination will be announced today, April 30, Tuesday. The KarnatakaSecondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) will announce the results at noon. The examinations were held from March 21 to April 4 this year.

A KSEEB release said that the Principal Secretary of Primary and Secondary Education will hold a press meet today, Tuesday at 12 p.m and thereafter results will be made available online.

Students can view the results onwww.kseeb.kar.nic.inandwww.karresults.nic.in. School authorities have been directed by the department to display the results of the respective schools at 3 p.m on Tuesday.

A total of 8.41 lakh students had appeared for the exams this year. The results are being announced earlier this year due to online porting of marks. The evaluators keyed in the marks online this time instead of on OMR sheets.


CET exams :  A total of 13,290 students in Dakshina Kannada are appearing for the CET examinations on April 29 and 30.The district has 26 examination centres, including Mangaluru – 13, Moodbidri – 8, Belthangady – 2 and Puttur – 3.

The authorities are well-prepared for the smooth conduct of the examination. Colleges where the examinations are being held have been provided with all basic facilities. All classrooms will have wall clocks and students will not be allowed to wear or carry any type of wrist watches, tablets, mobile phones, calculators or any other electronic goods inside the examination hall.

In Udupi  :  About 4,769 students are appearing for the CET in Udupi district. The district has 11 examination centres including Udupi – 6, Kundapur – 3 and Karkala – 2.

“A three-member committee, consisting of the tahsildar, the block education officer and the principal, has been formed to take question papers from the district treasury to the respective examination centres,” said Udupi ADC Vidyakumari.

The question papers will be transported in a GPS incorporated vehicle, she added.

Section 144 has been clamped by authorities within a 200-metre radius of the examination centres in an attempt to conduct exams in a smooth and transparent manner, said the officer.
