SSLC exams begin March 30, 2016

Mangaluru, Dec 6, 2015:A release states that class 10 Secondary SSLC - School Leaving Certificate  examinations will begin on March 30, 2016, with the first language as the first examination. The examination will end on April 13 with the third language paper.

          THE TIME TABLE:

                                         -MARCH 30 - FIRST LANGUAGE.

                                         - APRIL  1   - SCIENCE.

                                         - APRIL 4   -  MATHEMATICS.

                                         - APRIL 6   -  SECOND LANGUAGE.

                                         - APRIL 11 -  SOCIAL SCIENCE.

                                         - APRIL 13 -  THIRD LANGUAGE.

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board has so far received applications from over 8 lakh candidates. The board will conduct the public examination that will have 80 per cent weightage, with the remaining on internal assessment.

This is the second year students will take the examination in the CCE -  Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation  pattern. Students will be given 15 minutes time to read the question paper before the exam begins.

The CCE method, however, will apply only to fresh candidates and repeaters and private candidates will have to take the exam in the old pattern.
