SPAR India opens first hypermarket at City Centre

Mangalore, April 30: “SPAR India will open Mangalore’s biggest hypermarket, spread over an area of 44,000 sq ft. on the 5th floor of the City Centre Mall on K.S. Rao Road, one of Mangalore’s busiest commercial areas,” said Mr. Viney Singh, the managing director, at a press meet held after the inauguration of City Centre on April 30, Friday.

Customers can place their orders for cakes and pick them up once they finish shopping. The bakery range includes a very wide array of breads including health breads, cakes and pastries both with and without eggs as well as desserts which include gateaus, trifles and mousses at very reasonable prices. Photo-printed cakes are now available for the first time in the country, enabling customers to take home actual photos of loved ones or cartoon or children’s story characters printed on a special icing sugar edible sheet for a cake.
