Mangaluru, Jan 30, 2017 : Senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary has regretted the exit of veteran Congressman and former chief minister SM Krishna from the party.
Speaking to reporters here on January 30, Monday, Poojary said Krishna was sidelined in the party resulting in his exit. The party should have treated a leader of the calibre of Krishna in high esteem, said Poojary.
He said that the veteran Congress leader was deeply hurt by the way the party treated him.
On this occasion, Poojary once again launched a tirade against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and declared that the Congress will have a bright future in the state, provided Siddaramaiah walks out of the party.
Poojari also felt that Krishna had taken a hasty decision to quit despite Congress President Sonia Gandhi whom he met some time back had advised him against it.
Poojary further appealed to Krishna against joining any other party and warned that other parties may end his political career after making good use of his strength. He also hoped that the Congress leadership would always keep its doors open for the leader in case he decides to return.
